Disclaimer Information

I have read and understand the following:
I must submit a non-refundable payment by clicking the payment icon after I complete my application. A small transaction fee will be added.
Applications are processed according to wedding date. If your wedding is several months away and you need your application processed quickly, it is your responsibility to let us know by calling (864) 467-7571, (864) 467-7468 or emailing us at erobinson@greenvillecounty.org or probatemarriage@greenvillecounty.org.
After the Court receives the Application, copy of both applicants’ government issued picture ID (driver’s license, passport or military ID), and copy of both applicants Social Security cards, they will be approved for processing and the Court will email me the completed Application and Certification. Both applicants must print and sign the Application and Certification and return the original signed documents to the Court for filing before the license will be processed. SC law prohibits us from accepting electronic signatures.
There is a 24-hour waiting period by law from the time and date the original, signed Application and Certification are filed to the time the marriage license can be issued.
I understand my application will be dismissed, without refund, if I do not provide all information necessary to process my marriage license within one year of the date I applied online.
