Purpose: The Commission oversees the operations of the Greenville County Museum of Art, a permanent nonprofit institution that benefits the public through educational and cultural programs.

The commission consists of seven (7) members, appointed by Greenville County Council. All Commission members shall be residents of Greenville County. 

The Commission exercises general control of the museum as a center for the collection, preservation, display, and educational use of American visual art, for the benefit of the citizens of Greenville County.

The Commission meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 12:00 noon in the conference room at the Greenville County Museum of Art.
