If so, Camp Animal Care is for you! We offer your child a unique camp experience, giving them a hands on opportunity to explore the world of animals including veterinary/medical care, animal enrichment for happy, well- adjusted pets and leadership skills to make their community a better place through service to sheltered animals.

Registration includes a t-shirt for campers, a bag for supplies and lots of fun activities on-site at Animal Care.

In this exciting and educational camp, kids will step into the fast-paced world of veterinary medicine! Designed for budding animal enthusiasts, campers will explore the importance of preventative care, meet our talented veterinarians and medical technicians, and enjoy hands-on crafts and projects related to animal health. Perfect for curious young minds, this camp combines fun and learning in a unique setting. Limit 14 campers.

Take Veterinary Learning to the Next Level!
Did your child love Vet Camp 1 and can't wait for more? We've partnered with the Animal Science Department at Greenville Technical College to offer an advanced experience focused on the unique medical needs of dogs and cats. Campers will delve deeper into the fascinating world of veterinary care. While we recommend attending Vet Camp 1 first, accommodations can be made for scheduling conflicts. Limit 14 Campers.

Advanced Veterinary Experiences for Older Kids!
This camp is specifically designed for older children, offering an in-depth exploration of veterinary medicine. Campers will spend more one-on-one time with veterinarians, observe surgeries in the clinic, and gain insight into advanced medical care for pets. While we recommend starting with Vet Camp 1, this camp can also be taken independently if scheduling conflicts arise. Limit 14 Campers.

Be a Hero for Animals in Need and Earn Service Hours!
This inspiring camp combines fun and community service to help kids make a real difference in the lives of homeless pets. Campers will learn about programs that support animals in need, meet shelter staff, and create treats and enrichment activities to reduce stress for dogs and cats in the shelter. As part of the experience, participants will have the opportunity to earn service hours for school or clubs while gaining valuable insights into how they can help animals and their community. Limit 14 campers.

We need Camp Counselors aged 16 and older to join our Camp Animal Care team. There are two counselor spots available for each camp, and service hours will be offered if needed. Registration for Camp Counselors will close once we fill the two positions for each camp.

Our Partners in Animal Care have generously donated four camp scholarships.

To apply – complete the Camp Animal Care Scholarship Application and return to peted@greenvillecounty.org.

Scholarship applications must be received no later than March 15, 2025, and winners will be announced no later than April 15.

*Due to food allergies, children should bring a bagged lunch and a drink.
We will provide water for the kids!

Campers will receive a Camp Animal Care T-shirt on the first day of camp and are requested to wear their shirts each day after.

Closed-toed shoes are required, and long pants are recommended.

Each camp requires a minimum of 7 campers to proceed.
If this minimum is not met, all registration fees will be refunded.

Refund Policy:
A 50% refund will be provided if cancellation is made at least 30 days prior to the start of camp. No refunds will be issued less than 30 days prior to the first day of registered camp.
