Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Adoption and Implementation
Greenville County Council adopted the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) on December 3, 2024, with an effective date of December 23, 2024.
This milestone marks the integration of the County’s zoning Ordinance, land development regulations, and tree ordinance into a unified,
streamlined framework for managing growth and development.
Guidance on Application Submittals:
The timing of application submittals will determine whether the existing Greenville County Zoning Ordinance and Land Development
Regulations or the new UDO will apply. To assist applicants during this transition, a schedule is provided below for applications
reviewed and/or approved by the Subdivision Administration and Zoning Administration office:
