Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
The South Carolina Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) allows a person to request public records from a public entity like the Greenville County Department
of Public Safety. A FOIA request is a process of officially requesting such records. The obligations and limitations of these requests are explained in
the South Carolina Code of Laws – Title 30, Chapter 4. The Public Official’s Guide to Compliance with South Carolina’s Freedom of Information Act is also
