  • Business Recycling
    Encourages Greenville County business' to market their recyclables directly to markets or to work with a waste hauler to collect their recyclables
  • Buy Recycled
    You are not recycling unless you are buying recycled-content items. By purchasing items that are made from recycled content, you assure the continuing success of your local recycling programs.
  • Composting
    Composting is the natural "Circle of Life". It offers the obvious benefits of creating a useful product from organic waste that would otherwise have been landfilled. Read more about what compost is and get information on resources that will help you in your composting activities.
  • Construction Waste
    The County would like to encourage all builders and developers to place recycling bins at building sites.
  • Farm Oil Recycling
    Proper used oil management is necessary for the protection of our water. Just one gallon of used oil can contaminate one MILLION gallons of drinking water. Find out about the farm oil collection center.
  • Food Waste
    You can collect food scraps like fruit and vegetable peels, coffee grounds, and eggshells, then bring them to designated drop-off sites to be collected. After food scraps are dropped off, they are collected and taken to a composting facility.

    Free mulch is available at the Twin Chimneys Landfill!
  • Household Hazardous Waste
    Greenville County distributes HHW wheels that show alternatives to common household hazardous products.
