The Detention Center is located in award winning downtown Greenville and offers a great place to work, play and raise a family! Heroes work here and we are looking for energetic, people-friendly applicants with High School diploma or GED, 18 years of age or older.

Degrees in Criminal Justice garner higher pay but are not a requirement. Our talented team of officers come from diverse previous professions offering a wide variety of experiences and knowledge.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • A US citizen
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Clear FBI/SLED background check
  • Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment testing & health assessment
  • Must be available to work any assigned shifts

Applicants must provide a copy of the following with their application:
  • Birth Certificate
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • DD214 (if applicable)
  • Social Security Card
  • Listing of addresses for the past 4 years
