Administrative Services
Overview
The Administrative Services Division oversees all services that support staffing and individual team members as well as billing and records requests.
Employee Services
Employee Services is responsible for the maintenance of employee records, liaising with Greenville County Human Resources,
administering new hire Assessment Centers, and assisting with the New Employee Orientation Programs. To support team members
and to be competitive in the marketplace, a review of positions and salaries are reviewed periodically and adjustment recommendations
provided to County Administration.
Recruitment and Retention
Recruiting activities play a huge role within the Division. Greenville County EMS engages with community partners to ensure that a
diverse workforce representative of the Greenville community is maintained. Local and National advertising campaigns have been instituted
to address the ongoing EMS workforce development shortages across the United States. The department recently establishing an EMT Academy where
Greenville County EMS, in cooperation with SC Works and Greenville County Workforce Development, provides EMT training to candidates interested in
pursuing a career in EMS. Tuition and associated costs are covered and successful and qualified graduates are assured employment after completion.
Retention is the other main focus of this department with ongoing employee appreciation events such as family night activities and annual awards.

Risk and Safety
The department places great emphasis on team member safety and ensures that all practices are conducive to a safe working environment.
A new ambulance simulator was procured and all new employees must demonstrate driving competencies during simulation on the emergency vehicle operations track.
Employee wellness, Workman’s Compensation, and other and health-related matters are also provided by the Risk and Safety Manager.
Finances
The financial team provides revenue cycle activities and liaisons with the Billing and Collections firms to ensure that patient care records are complete and compliant.
They also handle billing disputes, complaints, hardship cases, and work closely with families while they work through the probate process.
