Greenville County EMS is the exclusive 911 provider for Greenville, South Carolina. GCEMS responds to approximately
80,000 emergency calls a year and serves a population of over 512,000 residents. GCEMS operates a fleet of 39
Ambulances and deploy up to 23 Ambulances and 6 Quick Response Vehicles (QRV). Our ambulances are staffed with Paramedics,
EMT-Advanced and EMT-Basics which follow progressive and liberal standing orders. Our top priority is to provide excellent
patient care. In addition, Greenville County EMS operates its own Communication Center that is ACE accredited by the National Academies
of Emergency Dispatch.
GCEMS is in the process of improving our deployment model and are significantly increasing the number of field providers.
